At carrotfunding.io, every trader begins with an evaluation, a structured, rule-based trading period designed to assess your performance under real DeFi market conditions.
The goal of the evaluation is simple: to demonstrate consistency, risk management, and profitability. In this process, traders become contenders by following the rules and proving they can trade with consistency, discipline, and control. This is where you turn your trading plan into a true system and monetize it. This approach helps mitigate risk for both traders and the protocol, fostering sustainable growth for everyone involved.
At the moment, you can configure the following evaluation parameters:
1. Account Size
Each evaluation plan starts by selecting your preferred account size, which determines the notional capital you're aiming to trade once you complete the evaluation.
All account sizes are denominated in USDC, and your trading objectives scale proportionally.

2. Evaluation Type
Think of the evaluation type as defining the core structure of your evaluation. We currently offer the following:
2-Phase Evaluation
This flagship two-step evaluation is designed to assess consistency and risk control over time. It consists of:
PHASE 1 - Carrot Evaluation Account
This is your first step on the path to becoming a Carrot Funded Trader. Demonstrate your trading skills, risk management, and discipline by meeting the profit target in your evaluation account. Upon successful completion, you'll advance to the next phase.
PHASE 2 - Carrot Verification Account
The final step in your journey to becoming a Carrot Funded Trader. The trading objectives are refined in this phase, allowing you to solidify your trading approach. Once you meet the trading goals and verify your results, you'll gain eligibility to monetize your account.
PHASE 3 - Carrot Funded Trader Account
At this stage, your account becomes monetized, and you are eligible for profit withdrawals. Maintain disciplined risk management and consistent performance to continue building your track record.
Traders in this phase earn a profit split of up to 80%, with all payouts supported by our Vault. You can learn more about the reward structure under the Trading Objectives section.

3. Leverage Mode
When setting your evaluation parameters, you can choose between two distinct leverage modes based on your trading style and risk appetite. Each mode influences the evaluation criteria, allowing you to select the approach that best aligns with your goals.
Normal Mode
Leverage up to 5x on all Trading Pairs.
You can use 100% of your Balance as Available Collateral.
Profit Target: 8% of your starting balance.
Available Collateral = Balance
Aggressive Mode
Leverage up to 200x.
You can use 10% of your Balance as Available Collateral.
Profit Target: 10% of your starting balance.
Available Collateral = 10% of Balance
